- Facilitating cooperative, multi-institution, interdisciplinary research and monitoring projects that promote the health and understanding of the Bay-Delta ecosystem.
- Sharing information on current and planned research, monitoring and outreach activities through regular meetings and conferences.
- Providing technical and logistical support to consortium members through a linked network of field stations and laboratories.
- Avoiding overlap and redundancy in monitoring and research activities within the Bay-Delta region.
- Identifying potential laboratory, office, dock and storage space that can be cooperatively utilized by consortium members.
